Topic, "Parasites"

Hi. This month we will have a fascinating discussion at our Cafe Sci at 7PM on Wednesday 7 March, at Taste, in College Park.

Parasites are one of the weirder phenomena in biology. For example, there are fungal parasites that take over the behavior of ants to manipulate them into promoting the fungus' life cycle. Another parasite affects humans so they are more likely to keep cats, and therefore help the parasite live in the cats and nearby mice.

In addition to practicing infectious-disease medicine, our speaker, Dr. Mary T Busowski MD, practices hospice care, palliative medicine, and internal medicine in Orlando.

Directions

Taste

Taste is near the corner of Princeton Street (really Smith Street after the fork) and Edgewater Drive, so about 2 minutes from I-4 to parking. One can park on the street or in the parking lot behind Taste.

From I-4, drive a few blocks to Edgewater Drive. At the intersection, you should see a orange building ahead of you, labeled "Taste". Park on the street or behind Taste.
